Tractors lined up and begin heading towards
the path to begin the journey to Humeston via the cinder path while a wagon for passengers waits to go across the street from
the path entrance.
I went on the ride to take pictures for this
website because I wanted something a little different than the usual tractor in the parade stuff up on most of the pages
and I got it!

Edward and Verdadean Allen from Bussey with
their 1970 John Deere "2520" wait their turn in line to begin the ride.

The view of the path from my tractor.............make
that Wallace Harveys tractor. he was kind enough to let me borrow his Farmall M for the occasion.

Jack Boyd made sure everyone made it down
the path without incident.

I won't lie, some of these bridges made me
real nervous. It is hard to imagine them holding the weight of a train on these narrow spans!

I'm not quite sure just who it
is enjoying the ride more. Bill.... Or his dog!

Once we arrived at Humeston, we found a delicious
hot meal waiting for us at the Community Center. The food was delicious and plentiful with roast beef, roast pork, baked beans,
macaroni salad, and those taters!!! It was worth the $8.00 just for those taters!!! I want that recipe!!! Desert included
jello cake in nearly every flavor available. There was something for everyone.

The Chefs!
Got to give a big thank you and job well done
to the Pruntys'- Linda and Burton who worked as a team to prepare this wonderful meal for so many people. It is never easy
cooking for a crowd but they did it and did it well. Every dish was expertly prepared and no one went away hungry, if they
did, it was their own fault!

I took a picture of this thing outside
before lunch and then met the owner afterwards and got her picture. I think her last name is Buckingham and she
is going to email me the details of this little Allis Chalmers which Wallace Harvey identified as a "grasshopper"

Every ride must come to an end and thankfully;
we can use faster means to get to and from our rides. Terry Allred puts the ramp up on his trailer while the folks from Attica
IA finish loading their own tractors behind him.
